Rev. Dr. Susan L. DeHoff – Transition Pastor

Rev. Dr. Susan DeHoff earned her M. Div. from Emory University, and a dual Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and Religion from Boston University. She is ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a Psychotherapist member of the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). She is currently the part-time pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Whitinsville, MA. Previously, Rev. Dr. DeHoff served as Parish Assistant for Pastoral Care at the Presbyterian Church in Sudbury, MA. Currently, she also maintains a part-time private pastoral counseling practice in Shrewsbury, MA.

Prior to going into pastoral counseling ministry, Dr. DeHoff taught special education in the public school system and then worked as a learning disabilities specialist in private practice for 40 years, having earned a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Georgia College at Milledgeville and an M. Ed. in special education from Georgia State University.

Dr. DeHoff is the author of Psychosis or Mystical Religious Experience? A New Paradigm.

Grounded in Psychology and Reformed Theology, published in 2018 by Palgrave-MacMillan. She has also published papers on this topic in the journal Pastoral Psychology.

Eileen Straub, Minister of Music

Eileen was previously the organist at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. She has forty-five years of experience playing the piano, organ, and flute in local church settings, with additional experience in directing both choirs and praise worship bands. She has toured extensively throughout the Northeastern United States and Canada and holds a B.S. in Christian Education from Cairn University in Philadelphia, PA.

Patty Reynolds, Church Sexton

Patty Reynolds has been the church Sexton for the past 2 years. She has over 20 years of professional cleaning experience. She calls her role more of a “labor of love.” Patty has worked 12 years in the Insurance industry and 13 years in the Retail industry, along with owning/operating a cleaning business & breakfast & lunch canteen truck. For the past four years, she has been working in the healthcare field. Her passion and relaxation are riding her horse, Dallas, jogging, and spending time at her home gardening and crafting.

Ken Remillard, Treasurer

Ken has been the church Treasurer since 2023. He grew up in this church. Ken is also a member of Session, chairs a  number of committees, live streams the Sunday service, and sings in the choir. When he is not working, Ken enjoys biking, kayaking, hiking, golfing, making puzzles and being with his wife Tanya whom he married in this church in September 2023. Ken holds a B.S. in Computer Science.

Mark Thomas

Mark Thomas, Administrative Assistant

Mark Thomas has been the church’s Administrative Assistant for the past two years.
Mark has a B.A. in history from Muskingum University, a M.L.S (library science) from Indiana University-Bloomington) and a M.A. in Religion from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. Presently Mark is currently working on a D.Min. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Spiritual Formation.

Mark has held library positions at Cook College and Theological School (Tempe, AZ) and the Boston campus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MA).

Mark is a P.K. (preacher’s kid) of a now deceased Presbyterian minister who served churches in Kansas, Illinois, and Ohio. Mark is currently serving on this church’s Session.
