Music is important at UPCoW!

We are blessed to have a versatile Minister of Music, Eileen Straub, who plays piano, organ and flute.

We worship God with a variety of genres, including gospel, classical, and praise worship.

There are opportunities for children, youth, and adults to sing, play hand bells, or play instruments as part of our regular worship.

Our pipe organ was built by the Skinner Organ Company in 1923.  It has 2 manuals, 20 registers, 12 stops, 12 ranks, and 701 pipes.

The choir rehearses every Sunday morning from 9:15 – 10:00.  All are welcome to join us!

The Marion Boyd Handbell Choir rehearses following worship on pre-announced Sundays.

If you have a gift for music as a singer or as an instrumentalist, Eileen would like to talk with you!  There is a place in our music ministry for anyone who wants to participate.

"O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!"  Psalm 95:1

Anthems and Solos

Throughout the year, several members of our congregation provide solos and duets, offering anthems and offertories in a variety of genres, including gospel, classical, and praise worship. We are grateful for their contributions, which add depth and beauty to our worship services.

Marion Boyd, Handbell Choir

The Marion Boyd Handbell Choir made its debut on Easter Sunday, 2020, as a tribute to Marion Boyd, who led the handbell choirs for many years. We are delighted to see renewed interest in the bells and to have the opportunity for the handbell choir named in Marion’s honor to perform. The ringers, both adults and children, rehearse on Sundays following the worship service.
