Peace of Bread Community Kitchen

Our Peace of Bread Community Kitchen has long supported and nourished our community, and we remain steadfast in our mission.

Peace of Bread Community Kitchen opened its doors to the public on September 24, 2003. We provide free, nutritious meals every Wednesday night at 5:30 pm.

Volunteer groups fund, cook & serve the meals on a rotating basis throughout the year. We provide 150+ meals every week to our guests. Some folks sit & enjoy dinner in our Fellowship Hall & some folks come to pick up "To Go" meals. Volunteers also deliver meals to several homebound families.

Our local homeless population is helped considerably through our ministry's efforts.

We have an on-site Food Pantry & Free Clothing Room that is available to assist all who are in need. They are both stocked by donations from our generous community of churches, civic groups, businesses & individuals.

If you have any questions or interest in volunteering, please reach out to Laurie Sabourin at [email protected]

Important Note

We Are Still Open

Despite the challenges posed by the current COVID-19 virus crisis, Peace of Bread Community Kitchen remains open and committed to serving our community.

To-Go Meals and Food Pantry

Beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020, we will be serving "to-go meals" to ensure the safety of our guests. Additionally, we are offering a bag of non-perishable food items from our Food Pantry to anyone in need.

Your Health Matters

If you are feeling unwell or suspect that you may be getting sick, we kindly ask that you stay home and have a friend or neighbor pick up a meal for you.

Board of Health Approval

The Board of Health is in favor of our efforts to keep feeding our community during these difficult times. We will do our best to keep you informed of any developments as the situation develops.

United in Service

As we navigate these uncertain times, let us remain “United in Christ to feed His people, body & soul.” Together, we will overcome these challenges and emerge stronger than ever.
Blessings to all,

Laurie
